So, Dachau wasn’t exactly fun. It was pretty powerful though and we walked through this famous gate to enter the camp. It’s unbelievable to me that people were so brainwashed that they thought they were doing the right thing by working & torturing people to death. The words say “work brings freedom” which isn’t really true…it was more like, work or we’ll kill you. If I remember correctly, 40,000 people died at this work camp before liberation…so, so sad.

I realize that December is time for snow but as I go through our Europe pictures I can’t pass up a gorgeous one like this. Just another example of how beautiful southern Germany was when we visited in mid-October.

That’s The Half Moon in English…and it’s the name of a brewery that Chris & I toured in Bruges. We really enjoyed the tour which included a rooftop view of the city!

Last Saturday I volunteered at the MN SOMN State Bowling event with Chris, Josh and Robyn. Here’s a photo I snapped…as you can see most of the athletes have their own bowling ball because this rack is practically full…this is a serious event!

When we were in Amsterdam in October, Chris & I walked to a market that is on floating floors. It was raining out, and not prime tulip season, but we enjoyed checking out the different vendors. Here were the only tulips we saw.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

When we were up in Richmond at the cabin on September 20, 2008 Chris & I walked down to the (shaky) dock and I took a seat. It was calming and beautiful even there there was a lot of wind that particular Saturday.

Saturday September 20, 2008 Chris & I joined my Parents and my Grandma Dodo up in Richmond, MN for an afternoon at a family friend’s cabin. The weather was a bit cool but we had good company, good food and some delicious s’mores! Chris, my Dad and I played a game of Sequence which was won by Chris!
