The weekend of June 25-28 Chris and I took off for the North Shore of Lake Superior and had a super dooper fun time. We hit up a few different state parks to do some hiking but also did some relaxing too!
We fell asleep around 9 and slept with the windows of the tent open all night Thursday…it was an amazing night of sleep. And, this is the gorgeous view we woke up to on Friday!
Since we knew it was supposed to get hot, we decided to have a quick breakfast and then get on the road for Tettegouche to do some hiking. Here is some of what we saw. Click on the small image to see a larger version.
High Falls:
We made it to Two Step Falls and found a rock to sit on, have a snack and just relax. This falls isn’t nearly as impressive as the High Falls, but I’m glad we made it a stop on our hike.
Some randomness:
We didn’t hike out to Palisade Head, but we could see it across the water!
And, since we were tired & ready to call it a day…Chris thought it would be a good idea to walk back to our car ON THE ROAD. It was steamy hot & I thought we’d never make it, but luckily we did.
